John and Deals bonded for life over an impromptu game he devised with the balloon. I don't know how Daddy managed to capture it on video while he was laughing so hard!

this little piggy
As if the toddler-sized shopping carts aren't reason enough for Deals to love Trader Joe's, the cashier gave her an enormous free pig balloon. It renewed her love of all things pig, and we've been reading about pigs, carting around her stuffed pig (as you can see from the previous post, it joined us on our recent sightseeing adventures), and, of course, having endless fun with the balloon.
** I just found this post in the draft folder of blogger, dated September 18. Those of you reading this blog know the circumstances of why I'm posting this so late, given that Daddy's first surgery was on September 19. We're so thankful to have our family at home together again, and to be out of crisis mood and onto recovery where I can take a little time to do fun things like update our family blog! Hopefully Daddy will be feeling well enough soon to finish working on editing the video of John and Deals playing with the balloon.
