imagine this

Is there anything more entertaining than a child's imagination?  Our home is constantly welcoming new friends that Deals introduces us to throughout the day.  Yesterday morning, while cuddling with us in bed, she cradled a tiny girl dragon.  (Cuddling in bed is an entirely different blog post- this morning she kissed us and declared us her "sweet girl" and "sweet boy" while snuggling together.)  The other day she asked for a glass of milk for her and one for her baby.  I gave her a drink, and then told her that her baby would need to drink a pretend cup.  Deals was aghast: "No, mama!  She needs a real milk, not a pretentious one!"

from last fall: pretend play with props

Thanks to Daddy's quick thinking (and handy nearby pen for fast transcribing) he was able to capture two stories from our creative girl:

"Once upon a time Cocoa was looking for his Cocoa mommy.  He looked in his bedroom and she wasn't there.  He looked in the bath tub, and she wasn't there.  He looked in the closet.  He looked outside for his Cocoa mama, and she was there.  Cocoa went to lie down in his bedroom."

"Cocoa had a bottle and Cocoa looked for his Cocoa mommy and she was inside.  He looked in the bath tub and she was there.  'What you doing, Cocoa mama?'  'I'm swimming in the bathtub by myself!"
