last family of 3 vacation

We were able to squeeze in a last minute trip to Colorado for hubby to attend a conference before the end of the year.  Luckily, we were able to turn it into a family vacation where I was able to see a good friend from high school and meet her baby, and we were able to spend time with our friends in Denver that have a daughter close in age to Deals.  At the end of the week, our families rented a cabin at the Rocky Mountain National Park, and everyone had a fun time playing games and enjoying the beautiful views.  It was exciting to think that we'll have a baby boy join us on our next family vacation.  We got Deals a National Park passport, and we look forward to getting it stamped as we visit new ones as a family someday and returning with our children to previous favorites, especially Denali and Acadia.

not exactly Multnomah falls, but we did see some snow, which we never see in the Pacific Northwest

the girls did everything together, sharing a bedroom, bathtub, and floor space for ballet performances

the elk came right up to our cabin!
