anything but terrible

Life with a two-year-old is bursting with fun!  Deals keeps us laughing through most of the days with all of her energy and imaginative play.  She loves playing with her dolls- her favorites are a prince and princess that she calls "cowboy" and "cowgirl" since they have a pony they ride.  She can play for hours with her talkative pals in their castle...

Cowboy: What are you doing?
Cowgirl:  Sleeping.
Cowboy:  Wake up!
Cowgirl: I'm sleeping!

Cowboy: Where are you going?
Pony: Upstairs
Cowboy: What are you doing?
Pony: I'm upside down!  (followed by all the animals and dolls standing on their heads)

We also get a kick out of her pronouns and confusion over thank you/ you're welcome ...

Deals:  "Hold you!  Hold you!  Hold you!  Hold you PLEASE!"  (Mama picks her up.) "You're welcome!"

at Laurelhurst park before her first dance class

And, the dancing!  Oh, the dancing!  Deals started her first dance class last week with a group of friends, which is a natural fit since it's one of her favorite things to do at library storytimes, in music class, and at home.
